This is an amazing rejuvenation smoothie based on my recipe from the Brain Boost Diet Book. I have include lion’s mane mushroom powder which has been studied for its ability to support neuron health and growth. You can also find mixed medicinal mushroom powders which are equally delicious. Choose a high quality coffee or alternatively Yerba mate tea or green tea if you prefer. If Caffeine is a problem use decaf or dandelion coffee or chicory coffee.

This is a fabulous morning breakfast on the go – the combination of protein, healthy fats and coffee is the perfect way to support mental performance and keep blood sugar levels stable through the morning.

 

 

 

  1. Simply place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and creamy.

1tbsp raw cacao powder

½ tsp ground cinnamon

1tbsp almond nut butter

1tbsp xylitol, erythritol or stevia to taste

1tbsp lion’s mane mushroom powder or medicinal mushroom powder

150ml cold brewed organic coffee, yerba mate or green tea (dandelion coffee or chicory can be used)

400ml soya milk, almond milk or coconut milk

optional – drizzle of MCT oil
