If you’re looking for a healthy protein snack these are perfect little bites. I was thrilled to get a packet of Matcha Green Powder from The Protein Works. I am a massive fan of matcha green tea – it contains 10 times the amount of antioxidants than regular green tea so is fabulous for a real health kick. I have also added their chocolate protein powder too. One scoop (30g) contains over 22g protein so these little bites not only satisfy those chocolate cravings but are perfect for a post workout muscle boost and will help to stabilise blood sugar too. If you can’t tolerate whey then use the Vega chocolate protein powder – its absolutely delicious. My children adore these snacks and have requested another batch already.

What’s good about it?
Matcha green tea is packed with antioxidants including catechins particularly epigallocatechin gallate known for its potent cancer-fighting properties. Matcha powder is so much more potent than using green tea infusion. In fact one serving of matcha is the nutritional equivalent of 10 cups of regularly brewed green tea from tea bags. Matcha is great for supporting healthy body composition and various studies suggest it can boost metabolism and burn fat. It’s also loaded with L theanine which helps boost alpha waves in the brain promoting focus and concentration.
