Schizandra tea is made is from the small, red vine fruit that grows in northern China, Korea, Siberia, Russia and Scandinavia. Traditionally used as a stress tonic and longevity herb, schizandra is considered to be a superb beauty tonic and to help improve brain and mental function. You could use green tea instead if Schizandra is not available. This is a great recipe from my book Supercharged Juices and Smoothies

This creamy smoothie is ideal hot as a warming alternative to hot chocolate. The combination of superfoods helps to support adrenal health, blood sugar balance and keep the body energised.
- Simply place all the ingredients in a high speed blender and process until smooth and creamy.
