This is an amazing rejuvenating smoothie. You may have heard of mushroom coffee – this is my variation but even better! I have included lion’s main mushroom powder which has been studied for its ability to support brain cell rejuvenation but you can use a mixed medicinal mushroom powder which is also incredibly beneficial for brain health. If you cannot get MCT oil then use coconut oil in this recipe. Choose a high quality coffee or alternatively Yerba mate tea or green tea if you prefer. You can serve this warm using hot coffee if you wish. Read my blog on medicinal mushrooms

What’s good about it?
MCT oil medium chain triglycerides is superfuel for the brain and naturally found in coconut oil. You can use it as a supplement or add it to drinks and dishes. If you cannot tolerate coffee you could try yerba mate. Yerba mate is a traditional South American brew that’s been said to offer the “strength of coffee, the health benefits of tea, and the euphoria of chocolate” all in one beverage. It is made from the dried leaves of an evergreen holly, Ilex paraguariensis, a native plant of South America and known for its ability to boost mental energy and performance.
